Body & Legs Spider Frame with PVC Pipe

FULL STREAM | PART 1: GIANT WEB-SHOOTING SPIDER

We’re facing our fears against Halloween’s scariest creature – spiders! Join me as we build a giant animatronic spider with flickering red LED eyes and motion sensor that triggers a web-shooter to capture unsuspecting prey approaching the house on Halloween night.

In part 1, we prototype and build a PVC frame to support our giant spider by coming up with a design that’s large enough to spook out trick or treaters but collapsible for easy storage. We also tackle ideas for articulating legs so we can pose each one differently for more realism and not be limited by 45- or 90-degree PVC elbows. Articulating legs will also give us the option of adding animatronics later on.
