When Isaac Newton was in quarantine at home to avoid the 1665 plague, he discovered the Laws of Gravity, Optics and invented Calculus. I built …a fart detector by turning my dog’s favorite plush into an animatronic fart detector. This is FART-A-TUCHUS.
No one every believes it was the dog – until now! Featuring a gas sensor on an extendable tail so you don’t have to get close to your flatuous suspect and LED indicator eyes to let you know whether to crack open a window or if you have a military grade situation on your hands, FART-A-TUCHUS will buy you those precious first seconds to evacuate the area, or ID the tooting culprit to return the favor.
The main components are an old stuffed animal, Arduino UNO, LED lights, MQ-135 sensor, micro servo and endoskeleton made from PVC and scrap wood I had in the shop. In this complete build review I take you through every step of the project so can build your own Arduino-based animatronic fart detector and clear your name and prove once at for all that the “one who smelt it” didn’t “dealt it”!
