Grill Cart Final Assembly

FULL STREAM | PART 3: SMOKEHOUSE BBQ GRILL CART

We built the frame and storage features of our BBQ grill cart in earlier streams and now it’s time to put it all together just in time for Labor Day weekend!

In preparation for the livestream, I went ahead and applied a red semi-solid stain for the frame and transparent honey gold for the top, doors and drawer to give it an outdoor cookout flair. I also cut panels from a larger sheet of corrugated roof metal to fill in the back and sides of our cart and used muriatic acid to give them a weathered look.

We complete our DIY BBQ grill cart with all the finishing touches – installing drawer slides, pulls, hinges and together we align the cabinet door that will hide the propane tank and the top piece of the cart so the edge overhangs evenly on all sides.
