Rotary Payphone Mods & Final Assembly

FULL STREAM | PART 6: MID-CENTURY PHONEBOOTH/WORKSTATION UPCYCLE

All the major workstation components are ready for final assembly and the only thing left to modify is our rotary payphone. Every workstation needs a dedicated office phone and we’ve already converted this payphone for home-office use with today’s digital systems by having the phone line go through a pulse-to-tone converter. Now we’ll be adding some executive-level features that every retro-preneur needs to conduct business in mid-century modern style.

First up, we’ll attempt to add the face of a mantle clock in the instructions placard area of the phone just below the rotary dial and then a charging outlet to the coin vault area – easy right? Except that we’re going to do it WITHOUT hacking up the the metal!

Is there a way to add these components using existing holes on the phone or will we have to resort to hot glue to bedazzle the components on?
